A Happy Thanksgiving Wish From Me to You

The best way I know how to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving is for me to express my thanks to all of you. I am so grateful to all of you make time in your lives for me and the words I share in my blog. And I am grateful for the comments and the emails and the kind words so many share with me. I truly express my thanks to each of you.

I have written this blog every single day, five days a week (except official holidays), since 2010 when I first began writing it as a way to communicate with the employees of my company. Then after I sold my company and people requested that I keep writing it, I did. It has become a part of my life and it has become a way for me to record the life lessons I am learning and share them with others in the hopes that they can learn from my mistakes and experiences, and a way for me to record the blessings that come into my life so they will serve as a reminder to me and my posterity and everyone else who reads about them forever into the future. Through my blog I hope to leave a legacy of the values I believed and the blessings those values proved to be in my life.

I am thankful for all of my blessings. I am thankful for my wonderful family, my dear friends, my incredible mentors, my life experiences, and my opportunity to share them with all of you.  God bless each of you and your loved ones as you celebrate this holiday weekend. As always, I won’t be posting on Wednesday night (for Thursday) or Thursday Night (For Friday) as I always take the holidays off to focus on my awesome family. But I look forward to posting again on Sunday night (for Monday).

I will leave you with a repost of my favorite Thanksgiving Poem because it never fails to make me smile 🙂

T’was the night of Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn’t sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned,
The dark meat and white.
But I fought the temptation,
With all of my might.

Tossing and turning,
with anticipation.
The thought of a snack
became infatuation.

So I raced to the kitchen,
Flung open the door,
And gazed at the fridge,
Full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey,
And buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots,
Beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling,
So plump and so round.
‘til all of a sudden,
I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling,
Floating into the sky,
With a mouthful of pudding,
And a handful of pie.

But I managed to yell
As I soared past the trees
Happy eating to all,
Pass the cranberries, please!!

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes and gravy
Have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize
And May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving All!  And my Thanks to You!

We wish you and your family a very peaceful and inspiring Thanksgiving. I am grateful for the values and principles that our Founding Fathers established for this country, and for the great freedom and economic opportunities they have allowed us. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and humor. They are refreshingly clear and positive.
