All It Takes Is A Thought

Do our thoughts really have an influence on what we are able to accomplish in our life?  The answer is simple – YES!

If the thought in our head is that we can possibly do something then the chances are we will attempt it, and the attempt means that there is that possibility that we actually accomplish it.  But if the thought in our head is that something is impossible and can’t be done then the chances are that we won’t even try, and because no attempt was ever made then there was zero possibility for it to ever be accomplished.  It was the thought in our head that determined which path we would go down, long before we actually started walking.

I get feeling insecure or afraid, I have felt that many times myself, but what I don’t get is being unwilling to allow your head to consider the thought of “there is at least a chance”.  If you are too scared to take the leap of believing you can something, at the very least allow yourself to think “there is at least a chance I can do it”, and then allow yourself to make the attempt.  Put yourself out there.  TRY!  Don’t rule out the possibility that you can do something until you at least allow yourself the chance to try.  Who knows, you may just surprise yourself by what you are actually capable of.

The Victor  (by C. W. Longenecker)

If you think you are beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you don’t.

If you like to win but think you can’t,

It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost.

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow’s will.

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are out classed, you are.

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of your-self before

You can ever win the prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster man.

But sooner or later, the man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can.

This is the start of a new week so why not make it a week of thinking “I CAN” or at the very least “I MIGHT BE ABLE TO”…then TRY!  All it takes is a thought…

I thought I could, and I think I did. I made it to first chair (and section leader) in the viola section of symphony orchestra!
