#BecauseOfHim We Can Rewrite Our Story

I’m so excited to celebrate Easter with my family this weekend.  Frankly, I’m excited for any excuse to get to spend time with my family. When I look at everything that goes on in my life, all the experiences I’ve gotten to have, all the amazing people I’ve gotten to interact with, all the places I’ve been able to visit, all the accomplishments I’ve had in business…all of it pales in comparison to being with my family.  That’s not to imply that I am not grateful beyond belief for all of those other things, because I am grateful beyond words for every bit of my life, but it is to say that my family is truly my greatest treasure.  And I hope each of you get time with your own families to celebrate Easter this weekend.

Easter is such a special holiday because the events that went on this week all those years ago that has given us the gift of being able to be with our families well beyond this lifetime – to get to be with them forever! All because we have a loving older brother, Jesus Christ, who Easter week made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf, both in the Garden of Gethsemane where he willingly suffered immeasurable pain as he alone took upon himself all of our sins, and again as he was put to death by crucifixion. It is hard to fathom the great love he clearly has for each one of us in order to have willingly submit himself to all he did that Easter week.  Just think of that – he did it for us! It is humbling to think that he did it for me…he did it for you…he did it for each of us individually… How blessed we are to have him for our older brother!  And how motivated we should be to live our lives in a way that shows Him how grateful we are for what he did for us and the opportunity he has afforded us to be together forever as a family. He has given us the ability to have an eternal happily ever after…

“In the span of one week, Jesus rewrote humanity’s story. This Holy Week, He can help you start to rewrite your own. We invite you to join us this Easter and follow the example and teachings of the Savior by loving others, loving God, and making changes that will lead to lasting joy and peace in your life.”  – as posted on https://ComeUntoChrist.org

May we all take some time to honor our older brother, Jesus Christ, this sacred weekend.

Happy Easter everyone!
