Today my friend and mentor, Charles Koch (Chairman and CEO of one of the largest privately held companies in the country, Koch Industries), released his brand new book titled “Believe in People” which he co-authored with Brian Hooks, CEO of philanthropic group Stand Together (which my husband and I are a part of).  Charles and Brian were kind enough to give me an advanced copy of the book to read so I get to be one of the first people to tell you that this book is AWESOME!!!   

Honestly, the only way I can explain the books AWESOMENESS is to say that it’s not just a book – it’s A MOVEMENT – a movement to BELIEVE IN PEOPLE and empower them to use their talents and abilities to achieve self-reliance so they can then go and help others learn how to excel.  It’s a movement with a ripple effect that is ever expanding and never ending, and as more and more people unite together in this movement to believe in people the ripples are amplified beyond measure and countless lives are impacted for the better.  It’s a movement I fully believe in and wholeheartedly support.

I believe every person is born into this life having unique talents and abilities that God gifted specifically to them that, when properly utilized, will help them achieve greatness so they might go on to then help others learn how to excel.  I also know from personal experience that one of the most powerful motivators in the world is when someone else believes in you and takes the time to remind you that you already have within you everything you’ll ever need to excel – you only need develop the gifts you were given. 

All God asks from us in return for giving us each our talents and abilities is that as we excel we then help others learn how to excel in their lives.  So when I sold my company back in 2012 I knew it was time to pay it forward by turning my time and attention toward doing all I can to help others learn how to excel. And the more I do that the more God has blessed my life even more by bringing Charles and Liz Koch into it as friends and mentors on how I can give back in ways that empowers people to believe in themselves. Charles and Liz lead by example and their believing in me has led me to believe in others even more. They have become two of my favorite people and I am so excited to be working alongside them and Brian Hooks and all the other incredible people who have united with Stand Together to be part of this movement to #BELIEVEINPEOPLE
