Do We Make Our Own Luck?

Let me start by saying Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  And what better day to talk about the subject of Good Luck and Good Fortune? Back to the question I posed in the title of today’s blog – Do we make our own luck?  I am a firm believer that we do!

The times I have the attitude that my life is full of good luck I find myself looking for the good things to come from everything around me.  I am more in tune with my surroundings and I find myself seeking out the lucky situations being presented to me.  Not only that, but I find myself more willing to take action on those opportunities that come because, after all, they are going to bring even more luck into my life if I act on them, so feeling lucky gives me COURAGE TO TRY!

On the contrary, when I go through life feeling unlucky I tend to go through the day unaware of opportunities around me and I find myself shying away from taking risks.  In that state of mind I assume the worst of each situation rather than looking for the good, and interestingly enough I find what I am looking for.

Being lucky is a state of mind.  A decision.  It is a choice to wake up and decide that your life is lucky.  Wake up feeling excited to see what amazing good fortune will be placed in your day that day because you are a lucky person and good fortune can be expected.  Feel joy and hope and excitement for what your life is about to bring into it.  Then go through the day expecting serendipitous opportunities to be placed in your path and keep your eyes open for them to happen because they will.  Notice everyone and everything around you and assume that each person is brought into your path that day for reasons related to your amazing good luck.  Be brave.  Reach out to people.  Say hello and smile, after all you are lucky and lucky people exude happiness.

Don’t put limitations on the level of luck you allow to come into your life.  The sky is the limit.  There is no good fortune too big for your life.  After all, luck is on your side!

Make this week the first week of your luck filled life.  Don’t rush through it – savor it. Each day you are gathering gold coins for your pot at the end of your rainbow.  Each coin will be unique and each coin brings something new to your life so treasure them.  And remember to keep your eyes wide open so you will be sure to see the rainbows!

Have a great St. Patrick’s Day and for heaven’s sake, don’t forget to wear green 🙂

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you
knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest
twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would
have some experience with something like this. Please let me know
if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and
I look forward to your new updates.
