Forbes has been doing some really exciting things in the world of entrepreneurship, including hosting the Forbes Under 30 Summit. This year, Forbes launched two pitch competitions for entrepreneurs under the age of 30 as part of the Forbes Under 30 Summit, taking place in Boston Oct. 1-4.

*Forbes is partnering with Ashton Kutcher and Guy Oseary, Founding Partners of Sound Ventures, as well as Rough Draft Ventures to host a $500,000 Global Change The World Competition for early stage entrepreneurs who have disruptive and scalable business ideas. Submissions will be accepted through September 1.  To qualify for the competition, one of the co-founders must be under the age of 30 (born after October 2, 1987). Four finalists will pitch their companies on stage at the Forbes Under 30 Summit on Monday, October 2, to a panel of judges that will include Ashton Kutcher, Guy Oseary, Peter Boyce and Mike Perlis, Forbes Media CEO and Executive Chairman. One winner will be selected and announced on Monday, October 2. Rough Draft Ventures fellows will screen the business plan submissions. *In addition, Forbes, in partnership with The Rise Fund and Echoing Green, launched the Forbes Under 30 Impact Challenge — a $500,000 global contest for creative entrepreneurs, under the age of 30, who are building successful for-profit enterprises that drive positive social and environmental impact. Applications will be accepted through next Wednesday, September 6. Submissions will be screened by Forbes, The Rise Fund, and Echoing Green. Finalists will pitch their businesses to The Rise Fund and Echoing Green teams during the week of September 18, 2017, and a winner will be awarded by Cheryl L. Dorsey and Bill McGlashan at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Boston on Monday, October 2. The winning company will qualify for up to $250,000 in investment from The Rise Fund and its affiliates on mutually agreeable investment terms. Forbes will offer $250,000 in an in-kind media grant, bringing the total value to $500,000. For more information, go to www.therisefund.com/under30impactchallenge.

This will be a great event and the competitions will be exciting!  Spread the word to anyone who you think would be interested. These types of events can be life changing if people take advantage of them. And my advice is: never be afraid to go after what you want!!! You’ll only regret the things you don’t do! So get out there and change the world!

Have a great day everyone!
