Don’t put off living

“One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We dream of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our window today.”    -Dale Carnegie

I totally agree that too often we put off living…we spend so much time looking toward some future event that we think will make life happy that we often miss the fact that true happiness was available to us every day of our lives if we just pay attention. Every day is full of blessings and miracles all around us. Our bodies can function and our eyes can see and we have people who love us and we love them…there are amazing things available to us RIGHT NOW!

The older I get the more I realize that every day is incredible. Every morning we get to wake up and learn something new, or improve in some way. Every day we have the opportunity to improve our lives and give service to others. And that is AMAZING!

Today’s challenge is to take time to notice the proverbial roses blooming outside your own window. They are there. All you have to do is look for them. Then take a deep breath in and smell how sweet they are. Don’t put off being happy until tomorrow or the next day – remind yourself that happiness is a choice, so choose to be happy TODAY! Then get out there and LIVE!

Have an incredible day!
