#FIAMF – Fix It And Move Forward

If you’ve made a mistake, fix it. If you don’t know how to fix it, then learn!  And whatever you do, don’t throw your hands up and act like there is nothing you can do about it, because you can ALWAYS do something about it – there are always choices you can make that will make things better. And even if making things better can’t change what you’ve done in the past, it wll sure as heck change things in the present, and until you are willing to change the present you will never create the future you want.  Because our world tomorrow holds what we’ve done today. So when you make a mistake fix it. And once you make the choice to fix it and do all you can… MOVE FORWARD.

Even if you’ve made a mistake in the past, you still have a choice to make in the present. You always have a choice. You can choose to fix things in the present. And you can choose to focus on moving forward toward a bright future. No one can ever take those choices away from you. Ever.

What comes with that gift of always having a choice, is responsibility for the choices you make (and the choices you avoid making). You and you alone are responsible.

“Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It’s not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period.” – Brenda Slavin

I say #FIAMF! Once you’ve made the choice to fix things in the present and once you’ve begun taking the steps to do so, then remember you also have to choose to move forward. Don’t spend all your time looking back and beating yourself up for the mistake, because in doing so you are choosing to focus on the past mistake rather than focusing on moving forward…and your thoughts are what carry you either one direction or the other. The mistake was in the past and you most certainly don’t to go back there again, so choose to spend all of your time focused on fixing things and moving forward because that is going to lead you forward and into a bright future ahead…which is exactly where you want to be going.

Have a extraordinary day!
