For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food, for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
As we celebrate Thanksgiving remember to give thanks for every blessing in your lives. Remember to express gratitude to those you love. Remember to set the worries and work of the world aside and just enjoy your time with your families and loved ones. Turn off the computer, set down your phones, don’t check social media or worry about who’s posting pictures of their Norman Rockwell family Thanksgiving Dinner that looks nicer than your Chinet paper plates and plastic silverware. Let it all go so you can truly focus on being present with your loved ones. Play games. Eat turkey…and pie. Tell stories. Laugh. Sing. Make memories. Love.
I’ll be back again next week. For the rest of this one I’m going to take my own advice and just enjoy my time and this Holiday with my family.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
