Happy Easter Everyone: He Is Here

Let me start by wishing all of you a Happy Easter!  I love Easter weekend and being able to spend time with family and loved ones.  I especially loved this Easter weekend because it happened to fall on the same weekend that the semi-annual General Conference falls, which is a weekend of inspirational and motivational talks that get broadcast worldwide that I LOVE to watch. For two days there are amazing speakers that give talks on hope, love, life balance, faith, overcoming trials and all kinds of great topics that help me to feel renewed and rejuvenated every six months.  We all need to have a tradition of making time to step away from normal life and be reinvigorated and inspired again.

Some of my favorite quotes that came from talks I listened to so far are (I am posting my blog a little early today because there are two more hours of conference still to watch and then I want to enjoy the evening with my family):

“Life is not confined to a four inch screen.” (reminding us to put down our phones and enjoy each other and the world around us) – Jose Teixeira

“When we seek to complete and not compete, it is so much easier to cheer each other on.” -Linda Burton

“A saint is a sinner who keeps on trying.” -Nelson Mandela

“The older I get, the more I realize that family is the center of life. It is the key to eternal happiness.” L Tom Perry

“A husband is never more attractive to his wife then when he is serving in his God-given roles” -Linda Burton

“Families go back before this earth was, and they will go forward into the eternities.” -L Tom Perry

“Two essential ingrediants for a happy marriage are a cookie and a kiss.” -Boyd Packer

“We are saved after all we can do, not because of all we can do.” (message about grace of God) – Dieter Uchtdorf

You can see why I LOVE watching conference! It is so inspiring. If anyone wants to watch the talks on the web or read them you can at anytime by going to this website .

Last but not least I wanted to share an awesome message of Easter. It’s only a 2 minute video but it will lift your spirits as you start this new week ahead. Happy Easter all and I wish you an amazing week ahead.
