I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER!

Ah yes, the famous words of Hannibal on the A-Team. There is little in life that is better than when a plan comes together, especially when the plan itself turns out to be far larger and expansive then any plan you had pictured in your own mind 🙂 Throughout the years of my life I have learned that the plan in my head is usually nowhere near as large as the plan God has for me. You see I typically have the stick figure drawing of my future as the picture my head, while God has an entire masterpiece planned for my future…..he is so much better at seeing my potential then I am, and I am so glad that I get the opportunity to be placed in that masterpiece He pictured rather than my little stick figure drawing!

My life so far has been a crazy adventure.  From starting my first business at the age of 23 to selling my last company MediConnect in 2012, to launching REES Capital in 2012 (my angel investment firm), to accomplishing one of my ultimate life goals of starting a charity with my husband and children called the IPOP Foundation (www.ipop.org) which stands for In Pursuit of Perfection, a charity focused on educating and empowering people to pursue entrepreneurship as a path to self-reliance.   When I think of all that has happened these past 20 years of my life I can only say WOW!  Now that is what I call a plan coming together – mixed of course with years of hard work, plenty of ups and down, a fair share of failures, so many lessons learned, the amazing talents of so many people who were with me helping me along the way, and of course God’s amazing hand each step of the way.  As I look back with the benefit of hindsight, I can see that it could not have come together more perfectly than it did…only it came together far differently than the stick figure drawing I had in my head…seeing that has taught me to trust that what God has planned for us is far more of a Masterpiece than anything we could imagine for ourselves, so put your head down, go to work, and then trust Him to help make it happen!

We are all so lucky – no blessed.  We are all blessed.  Every one of us.  As we move forward with our lives, putting in the hard work, and adhering to the values of integrity and going the extra mile, life will continue to be blessed in ways we have not even begun to imagine.  I am totally confident in that statement.  Give life your best effort.  Keep up your energy and your excitement and your enthusiasm every day.  You are going somewhere.  All of us are going somewhere.  Somewhere incredible.  Somewhere bigger than even I know how to describe to you.  I just know its somewhere that exceeds anything you have pictured in your head…and that is a great reason to be stoked!  How cool is that!?  I mean REALLY!  Your life is making history that will forever change things in the future…just you watch and see.  I take that back…don’t just watch…join in and make it happen!!!

PS.  Friday the IPOP Foundation is holding a Mobile App Competition at Alta High (www.ipop.org/alta ).  We had about 100 ideas submitted by students at the school and tomorrow the top 1o will do a live pitch before a panel of judges and 800 other students to compete for college scholarships and the opportunity to see their app become a company!  It’s going to be a great event!

Very inspiring. It’s interesting how things don’t always go as planned or that we always have concrete plans at all – but looking back at where you’ve come, it’s amazing how it does all seem to come together somehow. You really have accomplished some amazing things.
