Just Remember Life Goes On

“You have to take the good with the bad, smile when you’re sad,

love what you’ve got and remember what you had.

Always forgive but never forget,

learn from your mistakes but never regret,

people change, things go wrong,

just remember life goes on…”

Tonight as I was FaceTiming with each of my kids I couldn’t help but appreciate that poem.  They are both doing awesome at college, which makes me super happy.  But at the same time I miss them a ton, which makes me sad.  But then I realize how lucky I am to have them in my life as my children and how lucky I am to be their mom and to have had 18 years with each of them to help them grow and raise them into adults.  I am sure I made a million mistakes as a mom but at the same time I learned from every one of them and they have helped me become a better mother and a better person.

Yes, our lives have changed and they are all grown up now, but I am starting to catch the glimpse of how exciting their futures are ahead of them and how much fun it will be for me to experience watching it happen.  I can’t wait to see them complete their college educations, get married, and best of all – GRANDBABIES 🙂  That’s right, I can’t wait to be a Grandma someday, scratch that, a Glam-ma…Glam-ma just seems much more fitting to me 🙂 .

Things change…we have to let go of things we love…but we also gain so many new things to love…It’s still a transition phase for me but at least I can catch glimpses of the fact that life ahead is going to be amazing, even if it is amazing in different ways.  No doubt I am getting older – heck my birthday is coming up this Sunday and I cannot believe I am already turning 35…jk…okay I may be a little bit older than that, but who is counting, right?!

Life definitely goes on so let’s all do our best to embrace it, live it, and LOVE IT!

Have a great day and don’t forget to LIVE IT!

~Amy
