Let’s Start A Smile Epidemic

Have you smiled yet today?  We don’t have to have a perfect life to have a reason to smile. Smiling is just a way to show God that we appreciate all He has given us. And each of us reading this has at least one thing to be appreciative of because the very fact we can read this says we have eyes that can see so we can make that the start of our “things to be appreciative of” list. If we really get out our pens and start writing I am quite certain that list will be much, much longer. So every one of us has a good reason to SMILE!

Did you know that even a fake smile can improve your mood? Did you know that genuine smiling reduces your stress level? Did you know that smiling makes you more appreciative? Did you know smiling actually trains your brain to think in more positive thinking patterns? Did you know it boosts your productivity and makes you more creative? And did you know it literally strengthens your body on a cellular level?

Well guess what – IT DOES ALL THOSE THINGS!

And best of all – It’s contagious! So if you start it other people will catch it to and then they will pass it on and so on and so forth – the distance a single smile can travel is amazing!

SMILING

Smiling is infectious; you catch it like the flu.

When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too.

I passed around a corner and someone saw my grin.

When he smiled, I realized I had passed it on to him.

I thought about that smile and then I realized its worth.

A single smile, just like mine, could travel around the earth.

So if you feel a smile begin, don’t leave it undetected.

Let’s start an epidemic quick and get the world infected.

We should genuinely start an epidemic of smiling today!  Think how awesome that would be! Just see how many people you can smile at and have smile right back at ya! Start keeping count. And every time you smile just think about how far and wide that contagious smile is going to travel. Think how many people will be infected with happiness all because you started it with a simple SMILE.

And in case you haven’t heard, the Sexiest Curve on Your Body Is Your Smile. So flaunt it!

If you see someone without a smile, share yours.

Love this wisdom about the effects of thankfulness and smiles. Every day I write on a note something I am thankful for and put it in my Joy jar. I wish you could see it. 🙂
