Life Happens. Chocolate Helps.

Today happened to be National Chocolate Day – which means you could eat all the chocolate you wanted and not feel guilty about it!  Truth is my husband is the one addicted to  chocolate at our house and I’m more of a caramel fan myself, but with it being a National holiday of chocolate I felt it would be wrong not to partake….after all, not eating a bunch of chocolate today would be like celebrating the Fourth of July without any fireworks, or Easter without any eggs, or a birthday without cake…it would just be wrong….so chocolate milk, chocolate covered ice cream, and chocolate bars were my food of choice today…as they should have been…

For those of you who somehow allowed this National day of Chocolate to slip by you without paying tribute as you should have I suggest you REPENT IMMEDIATELY and make-up for it by throwing a belated celebration taking in all things chocolate tomorrow…it feels like that would be the right thing to do…  And because I’m a good friend, I will support you in your repentance process by celebrating right alongside you so you know you aren’t in it alone 😉

So far this year life’s handed all of us a bunch of lemons in the form of a seemingly never ending pandemic.  Normally I would say when life hands us lemons we should make lemonade but keeping in the spirit of today’s holiday perhaps the better advice is:

When life hands you lemons, throw them back and yell “I wanted chocolate!”

Life happens. Chocolate helps.

Thanks for this message. I needed it! I laughed out loud a couple of times! My local grocery store has a $1 bin this week full of Valentine’s Heart boxes full of chocolate. Guess what my husband and I have been enjoying?
