Opportunities Are Like Sunrises, If You Wait Too Long You Miss Them

“Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long you miss them.”  – William Arthur Ward

I’ve observed many situations where an opportunity was placed before someone, and then they hesitated, and fretted, and deliberated, and flip-flopped, until eventually their hesitation lost them the opportunity all-together.

Opportunities…especially golden ones…don’t present themselves all that often. Golden opportunities that present the chance to do something big…something that could have a hugely positive impact on the world…well, they are like sunrises…and if you aren’t awake when they come, or if you wait too long to take advantage of them…they will be gone…

The key to not missing out on life’s golden opportunities is trust:

“Nothing is as fast as the speed of trust. Nothing is as fulfilling as the relationship of trust. Nothing is as inspiring as the offering of trust. Nothing is as profitable as the economics of trust. Nothing has more influence than a reputation of trust.”   -Stephen Covey

Be awake and ready when golden opportunities come along and recognize that doing anything truly amazing always takes a certain leap of faith…
