Spring is the Perfect Time to Take Out All Of The Trash In Our Lives

It is finally starting to feel like spring outside with sunshine and warm weather and blossoms and flowers cropping up everywhere. I LOVE it!  And with Spring comes Spring Cleaning. Yep, it’s time for all of us to wash our windows so the sunlight can come through. And it’s finally warm enough to open those windows and let the breeze flow through the house. Oh how I love the smell of fresh Spring air!

“Spring cleaning isn’t just about sorting through things, and getting rid of clutter. It’s about taking stock of who you are. It’s a chance to redefine yourself, to change expectations, and to remember that it’s never too late to recapture who you were, or to aim for who you want to be.”  -unknown

Beyond the normal Spring cleaning and putting things in the trash that we no longer need, Spring is also the perfect time to evaluate our lives and figure out if there is any other types of “trash” in our lives it might be time to get rid of.

By “trash” I am talking about many different things…It could be bad habits in your life that it is time to get rid of. It could be toxic people in your life that you need to finally cut ties with. It could be emotional burdens you are carrying around that it is time to let go of. Whatever the “trash” is that is cluttering your life….it’s time to take out that trash and be done with it!

The best thing about physically cleaning your house and throwing away the things you no longer need or use is that it makes room for new things to come into your life.

The same thing applies with the other types of “trash” we need to get rid of. When we clear the bad habits, bad people, bad relationships, bad thoughts, and bad feelings out of our lives and take them to the trash so to speak –  we are actually clearing out space and making room for new things to come into our lives…beautiful, happy, joyous things such as positive friendships, uplifting relationships, good habits, happy thoughts and feelings, and gratitude….lots and lots of gratitude.

A mental and emotional Spring cleaning is just as important as a physical Spring cleaning. And when we take time to do both we get the ultimate reward…peace…

“She was doing some Spring cleaning when she found her hopes and dreams in a long forgotten box under her bed. She took them out, shook off the dust, and hung them for all to see.”  -Queenism

This is the perfect week to make a fresh Spring start in every way!
