Today we got word that a friend of ours, who we love and admire greatly, has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer which has spread throughout her body. It came as such a shock to hear the news about her because we ran into her and her husband just a few weeks ago and

“To my children, their children, their children, and theirs’…”

That is the inscription on the back cover of my Grandmother’s life history book.   My grandmother passed away back in November of 2007.  She was one of my dearest friends.  And I am forever grateful that she left behind her written life history for me and for my children, and their children, and so on.
