For those of you have followed my blogs the last few years you know that every now and then, when we are really lucky, my teenage daughter Ashley will write a guest blog for us, which tend to be everyone’s favorite blogs (especially mine).   Today I had to give the keynote speech at an early morning conference at UVU, so Ashley was kind enough to write today’s blog for me so I didn’t have to stay up too late tonight.  My thanks to Ashley and I know you will love the message of her blog today. ~Amy

Take Opportunities to Put Yourself Out There!

Every day there are opportunities to put ourselves out there and be spontaneous. Whether we take the chance to do so is up to us. So I’m watching the greatest video ever on YouTube of this guy at a gas station who breaks out in karaoke. Now if you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s the link. WATCH IT! What I love about this couple is that they don’t care about anyone around them- They don’t care that they might seem completely cray cray (for the adults that means crazy) to the rest of the world. They go with the flow and role with the punches. Don’t we all love those people who do those courageous things that make for a good show for the rest of us!? YES! So today I challenge all of us to aspire to be like this crazy, awesome, insane, fun lovin’ couple! Don’t be like the lady in the video who walks away from adventure. Be the person who makes a fool of yourself! Because in all reality, the person everyone loves is the one who doesn’t care about what other people think and is willing to put themself out there! Am I right!? Or am I right!? And who knows, you might even end up on Jay Leno getting free gas!
