Thank Heavens for Chicken Soup and Nyquil

Last week I was able to attend a great conference called Women Moving Millions.  It was a conference of women who have all dedicated significant funds toward charities focused on helping other women.  People shared stories of best practices, what types of charities are having the biggest impact, etc.  It was incredibly educational and I was grateful to be a part of it.

Unfortunately I came down with a horrible sinus cold mixed with a fever and the flu bug and I have spent the last two days down in bed sick.  Being sick has to be one of my least favorite things in the entire world.  Being confined to bed with no energy to do anything but blow my nose for the ten millionth time ranks right down at the very bottom of my things I like to do list.  If it wasn’t for Nyquil I don’t think I would be able to survive this flu!  So what is on my mind this weekend is thank heavens for chicken soup and Nyquil.

The down side of Nyquil is it doesn’t exactly give you a clear head when it’s time to type your daily blog, so I am going to keep today’s message brief.

As always, I was trying to think of the positive side to what I have learned this weekend….but because I have been so sick I was struggling to think of a positive that is coming from being sick, until I saw the following picture:

sick

Okay, so that is a definite positive thought to focus on :)!  Because heaven knows I wouldn’t mind fitting back into my skinny jeans again.

In all seriousness, I hope all of you have a happy and healthy week this week.  Wash your hands.  Stay away from germs.  Eat healthy.  Take your vitamin C and your Zinc.  Don’t get sick.  And if you do get sick, well then thank heaven for chicken soup and Nyquil!

Praying that you will feel much better today and will soon be back “in the swing of things”.

Right here is the right webpage for everyone who hopes
to understand this topic. You understand so much its almost
hard to argue with you (not that I personally would want
to…HaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on a subjct that has
been discussed for a long time. Great stuff, just excellent!
