The last day of August is like the Sunday of Summer

The last day of August really is like the Sunday of Summer….it’s like the night before you have to go back to real life again…summer vacations are over, school has started, and we are no longer able to lose all track of what day of the week it is….darn it! Yes, having August come to an end is a little bit of a bummer.

But I have always found the very best way to get past the end of summer blues is to try and hype yourself up about all the amazing things we have to look forward to this Fall Season.

First off, Autumn is absolutely one of the most beautiful times of the year. The leaves all change colors and the mountain sides are absolutely gorgeous with the mixture of yellow, red, and orange leaves. It’s truly breathtaking.

Getting back into a routine. As much as I love summer there is something nice about fall arriving and being able to settle back into more of a routine again.

Next we have the Season Premiers of fun Fall TV Shows! Our favorite shows will be starting back up again and we have the brand new shows to check out. I’m excited to see the new Designated Survivor show with Keefer Sutherland! It looks a little like his old show 24 that we were obsessed with. So yay for new shows!

Autumn nights where the weather is perfect…not too hot and not too cold…love Autumn nights.

Then we have the start of Football games…It’s not that I am a huge sports fanatic but who doesn’t love all the snacks you get to eat during the games and the fun rivalries between fans. There is a fun energy around watching the football games that you can’t help but enjoy… who doesn’t love painting their faces with their team colors 🙂

Soon we will get to wear those chunky fall sweaters that help hide the effects of all those snacks we eat at the football games on our bodies.

Homemade Apple Cider – its the BEST!

And best of all…..Halloween – candy, costumes…enough said 🙂

No question I will miss summertime. I have had an amazing summer with my family and I have treasured all the fun trips we have taken and all the time we have spent with each other. But I have to remind myself that there is a time for every season and I cannot let myself look back and long for the past or I will miss out on enjoying the present. We can’t turn back time but we aren’t supposed to. We are supposed to enjoy each season of our lives as it is upon us and know that our lives were meant to move forward, so we need to have faith that the best is yet to come.

Welcome to the next season of your lives everyone! It is going to be glorious!
