The Power Of Encouragement

“Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you.” –William Arthur Ward

Today I was reminded of the powerful impact my mentors have had on me. I have had the privilege of being surrounded by truly amazing mentors throughout my business career. As I thought back to the most impactful thing these mentors did for me in my life I could sum it up in a single word – encouragement. These mentors have always encouraged me. They always had a positive word to share and a compliment to give me and they always made me feel like I could do anything I set my mind to. It was their encouragement that made me want to work a million times harder in order to make them proud.

Having someone in your life who will tell you “you can” is so powerful. Seek those people out who will help you see the best that exists in you and who then encourages you to see it too.

And be willing to be a person who provides that same kind of encouragement to others. You will impact their lives forever.

Thank you to all those who have been such great mentors to me. I will never, ever forget you.

Have an amazing day!
