The Secret to Change

“The secret to change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” – Socrates

A lot of things are changing in our world right now, and whenever there are times of major change, it often results in feelings of uncertainty, fear, and sometimes even dread. But entertaining those feelings does absolutely ZERO good for anyone, especially ourselves. Entertaining those feelings and allowing them to linger won’t make anything better, they certainly won’t make us feel happier, and they sure as heck won’t do a dang thing to improve our lot in life moving forward.

Change happens. And once it happens the very best thing we can do is to recognize that a change has occurred and accept that things are where they are, and then we need to immediately get to work at making things better from this point forward. It’s best to do that without kicking and screaming and without venting…again, those things don’t make anything better for anyone…rather we need to move forward with a positive outlook on where we can go from here, appreciating all the life lessons we have learned from the past that we are now able to use to make ourselves smarter going forward, and then we can get to work! Nothing can help you overcome your fear of change faster than getting to work!

Life is beautiful. And all of us have so many things to be grateful for. There is no time for fear and no time for complaining. There is only time to be grateful and happy and excited…and use that energy and excitement to go and “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” –Gandhi

Have a great day! And remember…move forward with determination to make your future amazing!
