We don’t know until we’ve tried

“Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string. Insist on yourself; never imitate. That which each can do best, none but his Maker can teach him. There is a time in every man’s education when he arrives at the conviction that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better, for worse, as his portion. The power which resides in him is new in Nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am a firm believer that we are infinitely more capable then we believe that we are. Our natural tendency is to think we have limitations on us, to assume we aren’t capable of doing everything, but the reality is that our capacity to accomplish and endure is far beyond what we give ourselves credit for. But we will never find out just what our true capacity is to accomplish until we try! We have to be willing to try new things, to try hard things, to attempt the seemingly impossible with an attitude of believing its possible. God already knows what potential we have within us, but we still don’t know, and we never will know until we try…

You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be (by Donna Levine)

There is inside you
All of the potential
To be whatever you want to be;
All of the energy
To do whatever you want to do.
Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
Doing what you want to do,
And each day, take one step
Towards your dream.
And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
Hold on to your dream.
One morning you will awake to find
That you are the person you dreamed of,
Doing what you wanted to do,
Simply because you had the courage
To believe in your potential
And to hold on to your dream.

Have a beautiful day everyone!
