What Matters Most

“They do not love that do not show their love.” – William Shakespeare

I can hardly believe that it is Thanksgiving this week!  I feel like the past few months have been a bit of a blur in which time has both stood still and yet been flying by. As odd as that description is, I would guess many of you understand exactly what that feels like.

It’s an odd thing time… Sometimes we dread how slowly it is moving…other times we would do anything to slow it down and hold on to it so it doesn’t go by us so quickly… I think learning to respect the time we are given is one of life’s great challenges and most important lessons to be learned. I also think how we prioritize our time determines the quality of the relationships we have, and as William Shakespeare wrote, we must take the time to show our love.

This super short video (just one and a half minutes) is the most perfect thing to watch as we head into this week of Thanksgiving. It is an amazing reminder of focusing our attention on what matters most:

“…May we fill our days as much as we can with those things that matter most and may we cherish those we hold dear…” – Thomas S. Monson

Let’s make this an incredible week of Thanksgiving focused on the people we love and our gratitude to God.
