When You Need Answers

When we have a problem we naturally seek for answers as to why?, or what we should do?, or where we should go?, and so forth.  Everyone seeks out answers in different ways, depending on their own personal belief system.  For me I seek the majority of my answers through prayer.  And as a businesswoman who relies heavily on facts in making my decisions, I can’t deny the fact that I believe God knows the most and is most definitely the smartest person I could go consult with, so why not take advantage of that?  And so when I need help or direction or guidance I tend to drop to my knees and consult with the man in charge.

What has been difficult for me over the years is that I tend to be a person who wants answers now, not later, and often times when I ask God for an answer the response is often a delayed one.  But over those same years I have come to recognize that when the answer doesn’t come right away that, that, in and of itself is often my answer.  Often that is an indication of the fact that I shouldn’t go forward with something or I need to wait for more facts to present themselves and then I will have all the knowledge I need to decide for myself.

I have come to learn that there is NEVER a time that God isn’t listening and there is never a time that He doesn’t care and He doesn’t answer.  So the next time you are struggling for an answer trust that when the time is right the answer will come as it should. All you have to do is be open to it, and be open to the fact that perhaps His answer is going to be different than the answer you were hoping it would be, but trust that His answer will result in something much better than anything you would have even thought to ask for. After all, He does know the most and He is the smartest 🙂

I know not by what methods rare,

But this I know, God answers prayer.

I know that He has given His Word,

Which tells me prayer is always heard,

And will be answered, soon or late.

And so I pray and calmly wait.

I know not if the blessing sought

Will come in just the way I thought;

But leave my prayers with Him alone,

Whose will is wiser than my own,

Assured that He will grant my quest,

Or send some answer far more blest.
