Work as if everything depends on you, Pray as if everything depends on God

I must have been out of my mind to think it was going to be possible for me to be gone for a week to London and then come home for a few days and go right back out of country again to Prague, Cesky Krumlov, Vienna, and Budapest for another full week and then get back home with less than a week to pull off a huge wedding reception for my daughter….what was I thinking?!?!   Clearly I wasn’t thinking… YIKES!

The truth is that I had worked my guts out for months to get everything ready for my daughter’s wedding before I left on these big trips but back before I left we were fully expecting the weather would be warm and sunshiny on her big day – but now the forecast is calling for possible rainstorms that day which means I am literally scrambling to redesign an entire backup plan at our same venue so we can be ready if the rain does comes.  All my perfectly laid plans and months and months of hard work are suddenly at risk of being for naught…isn’t that so the way life often goes?  But whatcha gonna do?  Stuff just happens.  So you do the best you can and you push through it.

I’ll tell you what I am gonna do.  I’m gonna try and push through the total panic attack I’m having trying to redo everything this week and then I’m gonna PRAY LIKE CRAZY FOR SUNSHINE!   Someone once advised me to “Work as if everything depends on you and then pray as if everything depends on God.” So that is exactly what I’m gonna do!

Think sunny thoughts this week!  I could use all the positive thoughts and prayers for sunshine this week that I can get!
