My sister Jen and my niece Rachel came into town this week to visit from California. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten to spend time with the two of them but 17 years ago my niece Rachel actually lived with me for a little while back when she and I were both single ladies, so it was really fun to visit and reminisce about the fun times we’d had together back then. We laughed remembering how we would drive around town in my little convertible jamming out to our music and talked about the songs we would listen to and all those fun times we’d had.  We took a trip down memory lane as we talked about our silly outings together.  Then suddenly we decided we wanted to relive a moment from those glory days so we jumped into my convertible, turned up the music, and zipped around town listening to those awesome songs from 17 years back…

I know you can only be young once, but man is it fun to be a little immature once in a while. It’s fun to let your hair down and forget about your worries and your stresses for a few minutes while you get out there, roll those windows down, blast that 80s music, sing the lyrics at the top of your lungs, and enjoy….
