After having spent the last several days down sick in bed I was super excited to wake up feeling at least better enough to get out of bed and make an attempt at getting back into the swing of things today – although I was terrified at the prospect of having to face everything I had fallen tragically behind on during my sickness when I had already been running behind on things even before this chest cold took me down for the count.\u00a0 Then I saw today’s opening quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson and it proved to be exactly the reminder that I needed to make my day better!\u00a0 Read his quote once more:\u00a0\u00a0“One of the illusions of life is that the present hour is not the critical decisive hour. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Today IS the best day of the year!\u00a0 And tomorrow will be even better than today! Because it’s a choice to look at it that way and I control the choice. I can either focus on everything I am behind on and all the stresses on my plate, or I can just be SUPER GRATEFUL that today I am out of bed and able to accomplish some of the things I needed to. And although I still have so much to catch up on and so much I still need to do, the fact is that I am alive, I am out of bed, I am able to feel the sunshine on my face, I am able see the amazing mountains in the distance, and I am able to give my husband a hug and tell my children I love them. TODAY IS THE BEST DAY!<\/p>\n

Happiness is a choice\u00a0 – MAKE IT!<\/p>\n
