I am surely one who\nhas. We should all praise God for the assured resurrection that makes our\nmortal separations temporary and gives us the hope and strength to carry on.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp; &#8211; Dallin H. Oaks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we head into this Memorial Day weekend and we honor the memory of those who have died I feel incredibly grateful for a testimony that life doesn\u2019t end with death.\u00a0 I am grateful to believe that when our time comes we will be reunited with those who have passed in the spirit world. I am also grateful to know that everyone who has ever lived on this earth will one day be resurrected (their spirit reuniting with their perfected physical body). And I love knowing that if we have proven ourselves worthy during this mortal life we were given, that we can have the opportunity to be together with those we love forever and ever.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mortal life was not the beginning, nor is death the ending. Mortal life is merely our time to exercise the agency God has given us to determine who we are.\u00a0 It is our time to learn and grow and to struggle and overcome. It is our time to love and be loved. It is our time to serve and make a difference. It is our time to prove ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Losing a loved one is never easy. As Russell M. Nelson stated, \u201cThe only way to take sorrow out of death is to take love out of life\u201d and we\u2019d never want to take the love out of life. But as hard as losing someone is, we can find joy and peace this Memorial Weekend knowing that the separation from our loved ones is temporary.
