She writes poetry, she\u2019s written song lyrics, she\u2019s published\na book, she draws, she does beautiful sculptures, and the list of her talents\ngoes on and on, but at the top of that list has to be raising ten children. Having\nraised two children myself I can only imagine the life lessons a mother would\nlearn raising ten little children. One of those lessons she shared in a poem\nshe wrote when her children were young:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"> <strong>PERSPECTIVE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">\u201cOh, Mother!\u201d<br>\nshe cried<br>\nwith eyes aglow,<br>\n\u201cSpring is really here!<br>\nI know!<br>\nI just saw the most BEAUTIFUL Dandelion!\u201d<br>\nA dandelion!<br>\nNot an hour ago,<br>\nin the self-same spot,<br>\nI shook my head in disgust<br>\nand thought,<br>\n\u201cSuch ugly weeds!\u201d<br>\nThe soft yellow balls<br>\nspoke only of toil;<br>\nof my summer-long battle<br>\nto save the soil<br>\nfrom this small enemy.<br>\nOh, \u2018Father,\u2019<br>\nto be as a child<br>\nand see<br>\nLife\u2019s Beauty-<br>\ninstead of<br>\nAdversity!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:right\">                                   -Leslie Pearson Rees<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What a great reminder as we head into a new week ahead to choose our perspective \u2013 see the dandelions as flowers rather than weeds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\"><p style=\"text-align:left; font-weight:bold;\"><strong><em>&#8220;W<\/em>hen you look at a field of dandelions you can either see a hundred weeds or a hundred wishes.&#8221;  -unknown<\/strong><\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Have a great Monday! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~Amy Rees Anderson (author of the book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/What-Awesome-Looks-Like-Business\/dp\/1946633763\">What Awesome Looks Like: How To Excel in Business &amp; Life<\/a>\u201d ) <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My Mother is a woman of many talents.
