Beginning makes the conditions perfect.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><br> \u2013 Alan Cohen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today I went and spoke at Brigham Young University to a\nclass of around 350 students.&nbsp; After my\npresentation I spent time doing open Q&amp;A with them and I have to admit that\nthe Q&amp;A portion is my favorite part of a talk because, while I try to include\ntopics in my presentation that I think will be of interest to whatever audience\nI\u2019ve been asked to speak to, the Q&amp;A portion ends up helping me remember so\nmany other impactful past experiences to share that I may not have thought of\nsharing otherwise.&nbsp; That and I\u2019m always so\ninspired by the students and how thoughtful they are and today was no\nexception. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One message I hope they took away from today\u2019s talk is &#8211; not\nto wait for conditions to be perfect to begin things \u2013 just BEGIN!&nbsp; Too often people wait to begin because they\nfeel they have to get everything perfectly planned out first, when the reality\nis that conditions are constantly going to be changing so even if you plan down\nto the most minute detail and prep for every \u201cwhat if\u201d scenario possible you\u2019ll\nstill end up changing that plan a thousand times over as those conditions around\nyou are always changing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Move forward AS you plan, not after.\u00a0 Just make a start&#8230;you&#8217;ll figure the rest out as you go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>~Amy Rees Anderson (author of the book \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/What-Awesome-Looks-Like-Business\/dp\/1946633763\">What Awesome Looks Like: How To Excel in Business &amp; Life<\/a>\u201d ) <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cDo not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin.
