{"id":12309,"date":"2020-07-21T00:11:51","date_gmt":"2020-07-21T06:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/?p=12309"},"modified":"2020-07-21T00:13:35","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T06:13:35","slug":"you-never-know-how-boring-your-life-is-until","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/you-never-know-how-boring-your-life-is-until\/","title":{"rendered":"You Never Know How Boring Your Life Is Until&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I\u2019ve been up to my eyeballs in construction meetings all day today about our new office space\u2026well, all day and all night actually given its 11:30pm and I\u2019m just now getting home to boot up my laptop for the first time today.&nbsp; I honestly feel like my brain has turned to mush tonight after so many hours of going over what things we will need to change and what bids we need to get as well as taking what felt like a million different measurements so we could try and figure out what room configurations might possibly work in this building we are planning to renovate. And here I thought buying would end up being easier than building\u2026.sigh\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m behind on reading and answering emails, I am behind on returning phone calls, I\u2019m even behind on text messages at this point so working 20 hours a day seems like the only way I\u2019ll ever be able to catch up.&nbsp; But it&#8217;s summer for heaven\u2019s sake! I\u2019m supposed to be having fun in the sun, not working 20 hour days!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;\u201cYou never know how boring your life is until someone asks you what you like to do for fun.\u201d \u2013 unknown<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have always struggled with carving out enough time for myself to have fun. &nbsp;Between working like crazy and trying to help other people, I don\u2019t really get time to think about myself. So much so that I\u2019m not even sure that I\u2019d know how to answer the question about what I like to do for fun because it\u2019s been so long since I\u2019ve even taken time to ask myself&#8230; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s clear I am in serious need of making time for fun in my life.
