It happens every six months, and I never, ever, ever miss it!!! It\u2019s a weekend long General Conference that gets broadcast throughout the world (in over 88 languages) and includes ten hours of the most inspirational, uplifting, life changing talks from incredible speakers. The conference is done in five two-hour block sessions that take place on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. The talks are given on a myriad of topics such as, hope, happiness, self-improvement, dealing with adversity, faith, balance, strengthening relationships, emergency preparedness, making wise choices, divine nature, etc. It also includes the most beautiful choir music from the world famous Tabernacle Choir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Never in my life have I felt so strongly a responsibility to share with all of you the things that bring the most peace into my life.  This Semi-Annual General Conference that will take place this weekend is genuinely one of the greatest sources of strength in my life. The talks given in past conference have gotten me through all the hard times I\u2019ve been through in my life, they\u2019ve inspired me to continually work to be a better person, they\u2019ve helped me to make better decisions along the way, they\u2019ve helped brightened my path ahead when things felt dark or unclear, and they\u2019ve provided me tremendous strength and peace.  I always listen to the talks as they are being given live at the conference and then I go back later to re-read them and re-listen to them when I need direction or comfort on one of the topics spoken on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t be who I am today, nor could I have accomplished all I have without these Semi-Annual Conferences. And this weekend\u2019s conference is one I am longing for more than ever because of all the hardships going on in our world right now. I need the refuge the conference provides from life\u2019s current storms. And I know I am not the only one longing for that refuge right now…we are all going through a hard time right now worldwide\u2026we are all struggling\u2026we are all worried\u2026we are all feeling isolated\u2026we are all uncertain about the future\u2026.we are all in need of peace and comfort…I can attest to the fact that this General Conference will provide that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
