<\/a><\/p>\nI actually decided to do some research on why buying a new pair of shores has such a huge impact on us women and I was surprised to find out that there really is an explanation that scientists have come up with regarding our obsession with cute shoes.\u00a0 According to studies, when a woman buys a new pair of shoes “The neurotransmitter dopamine is released, providing a feel-good high, similar to taking a drug,” says Martin Lindstrom.\u00a0 And apparently it is not just an increase of dopamine at work:\u00a0 “Shoes are a collector’s item, whether women realize they perceive them that way or not,” says Suzanne Ferriss, PhD, editor of Footnotes: On Shoes. Just think of how they’re often stored artfully on shoe trees and shelves. “They’re like sculptures,” says Ferriss. As a result, collecting each type provides a mini-adrenaline rush similar to the satisfaction a stamp collector gets when he acquires a rare find.\u201d<\/p>\n
And so this research clearly indicates that our shoe obsession is NOT OUR FAULT!\u00a0 It is a chemical problem in our brains with dopamine and adrenaline!\u00a0 VINDICATION!!<\/p>\n
And for the men reading today\u2019s blog, don\u2019t worry, I am about to share some tips for you that will save your relationships and buy you huge brownie points with your woman:<\/p>\n
If ever you are in trouble, which you know you frequently are, because let\u2019s face it, you are men!\u00a0 If ever you are in trouble, buy your woman a new pair of shoes, or if you are afraid to pick them out for her you can give her a gift certificate to order her own shoes on www.zappos.com<\/strong><\/a>!\u00a0 Nothing will get you out of trouble more quickly than a new pair of shoes, except maybe diamonds, but shoes are much cheaper :).\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n A second tip for men is to recognize that whatever shoes a woman puts on for the day will tell you everything about the mood she is in \u2013 almost like those mood rings that change colors \u2013 her shoes for the day will indicate if she is in a casual mood, an \u201cI am woman hear me roar\u201d mood, an \u201cI don\u2019t care\u201d mood, or an I feel sexy mood.\u00a0 And for the record, stilettos are more of an attitude than a shoe so always notice when she is wearing stilettos.\u00a0<\/p>\n Yes, every shoe we wear reflects something about how we are feeling that day. \u00a0\u00a0And you men that paid attention will thank me for these tips someday.\u00a0<\/p>\n And so I admit that I went a little crazy on my trip to Vegas and I splurged for a pair of the most gorgeous, sexiest, most sparkly shoes that I have ever seen!\u00a0 They are like sparkly diamonds and shoes all in one \u2013 both of any woman\u2019s favorite things \u2013 and so I ask you can life get any better than that?!?!\u00a0 I suggest not!\u00a0 \u00a0Okay, so here is a photo of my cute new shoes \u2013<\/p>\n
