{"id":1951,"date":"2012-11-29T03:06:27","date_gmt":"2012-11-29T09:06:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/?p=1951"},"modified":"2012-11-29T03:07:00","modified_gmt":"2012-11-29T09:07:00","slug":"fairy-tales-princesses-and-happily-ever-afters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/fairy-tales-princesses-and-happily-ever-afters\/","title":{"rendered":"Fairy Tales, Princesses, and Happily Ever After\u2019s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am a huge fan of fairy tales.\u00a0 I absolutely love Disney movies.\u00a0 I adore princesses.\u00a0 I love the idea of \u201cOnce Upon a Time\u201d and even more I love the idea of \u201cHappily Ever After\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 And what girl doesn\u2019t love the thought of finding her Prince Charming who will carry her away on his white horse into the beautiful sunset?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Do I get that life isn\u2019t a perfect fairy tale? Of course!\u00a0 But I love that each of our lives starts with our own \u201cOnce Upon A Time\u201d.\u00a0 I love that each of us starts our story with a book of blank pages that we can fill in with whatever story we choose to.\u00a0 And I love knowing that no matter how many hard things we may go through during the writing of our own fairy tale, if we live our lives right and do our best, I love that all of us are guaranteed a \u201cHappily Ever After\u201d even if we don\u2019t get to experience it until we pass from this life into the next life to receive our rewards in Heaven.\u00a0 I love knowing that we have the control of our own free agency to make choices that will make our \u201cHappily Ever After\u201d come true.\u00a0 There is comfort in knowing that all have to do to become perfect someday is just keep trying our best today.\u00a0 I love that when we make a mistake we can get back up, brush ourselves off, learn from it, and continue moving forward toward our \u201cHappily Ever After\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Do I believe in Prince Charmings?\u00a0 You bet I do.\u00a0 But Prince Charming certainly isn\u2019t perfect, and the girls that expect that he will be are in for a rude awakening someday when they meet him.\u00a0 He is no more perfect than the Princess herself is perfect.\u00a0 He will say stupid things at times, and he will hurt your feelings at times, and he will fall down and have to get back up while writing his own story &#8211;
