Now I am anxious to get home to my baby girl so I can appreciate every moment I have left with her at home as I realize that the time is coming all too quickly when she will be gone on to college and I want to have cherished and valued every second I got to spend with her before she leaves. I love that even at the age of 17 she will come and jump in bed between my husband and I to come snuggle with us at night. The funniest part is that when we finally have to kick her out of our bed so we can get sleep she always breaks into singing the chorus of “You’re Gonna Miss This”, and sure enough, it works every time and we end up letting her stay with us just a little bit longer. Yes, we are gonna miss a lot of things that will come and go in our lives and the best we can do is to pay attention and choose to appreciate all the “right nows” that we get with people in our lives. For those who need a reminder of this lesson often I would highly recommend you download the following song to your ipod and then play it often because it will no doubt pull at your heartstrings like no other to remind you to appreciate all that you have while you have it. Enjoy and have a great day everyone!

You’re Gonna Miss This (song by Trace Adkins)

She was staring out that window, of that SUV
Complaining, saying I can’t wait to turn 18
She said I’ll make my own money, and I’ll make my own rules
Mamma put the car in park out there in front of the school
Then she kissed her head and said I was just like you

You’re gonna miss this
You’re gonna want this back
You’re gonna wish these days hadn’t gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you’re gonna miss this

Before she knows it she’s a brand new bride
In a one-bedroom apartment, and her daddy stops by
He tells her It’s a nice place
She says It’ll do for now
Starts talking about babies and buying a house
Daddy shakes his head and says Baby just slow down

‘Cause You’re gonna miss this
You’re gonna want this back
You’re gonna wish these days hadn’t gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you’re gonna miss this

Five years later there’s a plumber workin’ on the water heater
Dog’s barkin’, phone’s ringin’
One kid’s cryin’, one kid’s screamin’
She keeps apologizin’
He says they don’t bother me
I’ve got 2 babies of my own
One’s 36, one’s 23
Huh, it’s hard to believe

But you’re gonna miss this
You’re gonna want this back
You’re gonna wish these days hadn’t gone by so fast
These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you’re gonna miss this
You’re gonna miss this
Yeah, you’re gonna miss this

~Amy

“You’re Gonna Miss This” are the lyrics in the chorus of a song that is incredibly impactful by Trace Adkins. The song is about cherishing the moments of our lives as they happen because there will come a day when you will miss those moments greatly. That lesson and message applies to so many areas […]

[1
501,500,51,597,35,596,78,595
post-2513","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-appreciate","tag-appreciation","tag-family","tag-granted","tag-love","tag-loved-ones","tag-time","tag-time-with-familly
["GET
