A little retail therapy is sometimes exactly what is needed when the husband goes hiking with the boy scouts and the wife and daughter are left alone for a day.\u00a0 Today Ashley and I had a fabulous girls day together.\u00a0 Now don\u2019t get me wrong, we love spending time with my husband too, but every now and then you need a \u201cGirl\u2019s Day\u201d to shop at the mall without your husband there to constantly be asking:<\/p>\n
\u201cAre we almost done, yet?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDo we really have to go to that store too?\u00a0 It looks just like the last store we were in.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t you already have a shirt that looks just like that?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI thought we were just coming to get one thing, so why are we still walking around?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cDid you see the price tag on those shoes?\u00a0 Who in their right mind would spend that much on a pair of shoes?!?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHave you seen how many shoes you already have in your closet??\u00a0 We need to be getting rid of shoes, not buying new ones!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n No offense to the husbands out there, but the answers are always going to be:<\/p>\n \u201cNo.\u201d \u201cYes.\u201d \u00a0\u201cNo.\u201d \u201c Because I might see something else I want.\u201d \u201cI would, that\u2019s who.\u201d \u201cI will not even honor that question with an answer, but know this \u2013 a woman can NEVER have too many pairs of shoes!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Yes, it is quite nice to have a \u201cGirls Only\u201d day once in a while.\u00a0 Just like I am quite sure that my husband has enjoyed having a \u201cMen Only\u201d trip to hike a mountain, light a few things on fire, and not have any women around telling him what to do or criticizing the way the men are rubbing those sticks together to make a fire without matches when they could easily use a lighter to do it instead.<\/p>\n No question it is one of the wonders of this world that men and women end up coming together to get married and live happily ever after when we are so completely different in so many ways.\u00a0 And yet there is nothing quite as wonderful as falling in love with a man you will spend your life after marriage trying to change, and he will spend his life after marriage wishing that you wouldn\u2019t have changed!\u00a0 Ah yes, the joy of true love \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n I can\u2019t wait to see my honey again, but I have to sign off now so I can hurry and rip the tags off my new close and shred the receipts before he gets home!\u00a0 After all that\u2019s the first rule of Girls Club \u2013
