The amount of data flowing through my mind as I am trying to multi-task everything that is going on this week simultaneously is just plain ridiculous!<\/p>\n<p>I typically pride myself on being able to keep large amounts of information organized in my head, but this week, I am fairly certain that at one point there may have been literal smoke coming out of my ears as my brain has now officially kicked into overload&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>I heard the best quote the other day.\u00a0 It said &#8220;TV is the place you go when your brain wants to stop thinking&#8221;.\u00a0SO TRUE!\u00a0 My husband often gives me a hard time for watching the most ridiculously pointless reality television shows that have very little redeeming value.\u00a0 He frequently asks, \u201cHow can a woman who is so intelligent and accomplished watch such mindless television shows?\u201d\u00a0 I try to explain, \u201cDon\u2019t you get it? That is exactly why I watch them!\u201d\u00a0 After having my mind work in overdrive all day long all I want to do is watch something totally ridiculous on TV that doesn\u2019t require me to think at all!\u00a0 And if possible I want it to have a few totally crazy wives on the reality show so I can point to the television and say to my husband \u201cDo you see how lucky you are to have me!?\u00a0 Just look at how crazy these women are!\u00a0 I am so easy to deal with compared to them!\u201d\u00a0 Yes, it\u2019s true- I love mindless television and I am not ashamed to admit it.\u00a0 Okay, maybe I am a little ashamed, but it\u2019s the truth so I am going to just own it!<\/p>\n<p>I wish like crazy that I could veg in front of the TV and watch mindless shows where my brain could shut down right now, but first, I must get through my own little &#8220;heck week (trying to keep the language clean here people \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 )&#8221; of multi-tasking and balancing all the balls in the air and trying to fix all the problems with the construction of my new home (I won\u2019t say more because once again, I am trying to keep my language clean here people \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 ).<\/p>\n<p>As bad as things have been this week, I have to remind myself of something I had written in a blog a few years back:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993366;\"><strong>When things incredibly overwhelming in life just know that in a few more steps from where you are right now you will be able to stop and look back over your shoulder and see the INCREDIBLE things that you have accomplished in your life, so don\u2019t let the fog you are traveling through make you forget the beautiful view in your rearview mirror.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>And with that, it must be time to conclude today\u2019s blog because I am definitely tired of thinking \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>~Amy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If it is possible to fry your brain by processing too much data, on too many items, in too short a time frame, well let`s just say that I think my brain has hit its &#8220;turning to mush&#8221;\u00a0point already this week.
