And the results were disastrous; causing all kinds of problems and delays and extra expense.

At the end of the day it is my fault for not trusting my gut from the get-go. All my past experiences had taught me to trust my gut above all else. I should have already learned that lesson well enough not to ignore it. But clearly I messed up and had to be reminded the hard way. It’s never much fun to have to learn the hard way…argghhh….

Well, hopefully my admission of stupidity and not going by the lessons I have already learned to ALWAYS TRUST YOUR OWN GUT can help some of you reading this to not make that same mistake I did. Learn from my mistake and adopt these two rules in your life:

#1. Don’t forget the lessons you have learned in the past because it is no fun to relearn them the hard way. It’s the worst!

#2 Trust your instincts. When your gut DOESN’T feel good about something then walk away, no matter what other people say and no matter what the facts on paper show. And when your gut DOES feel good about something then have the courage to go for it, no matter what other people say and no matter what the facts on paper show. Go with your gut!

~Amy

Hindsight – how I wish we could have it on the front end of situations instead of going through hardships to figure out what you shoulda, woulda, coulda…but I guess then it wouldn’t be called hindsight 🙁 Today was a day when hindsight made it very clear what I shoulda done differently in a situation […]

[1
1805,36,504,159,1673,873,97,1808,310,1809,83,1811,1514,1804,306,1800,463,1810,1801,1737,1806,1807,233,1813,232,1803,1802,1681,1050,1814,149,1248,1812,84,1799,1426
post-3619","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-building","tag-ceo","tag-choice","tag-choices","tag-construction","tag-decision","tag-decisions","tag-delays","tag-executives","tag-expense","tag-experience","tag-experiences","tag-facts","tag-forget","tag-gut","tag-gut-instinct","tag-home","tag-ignore","tag-information","tag-instinct","tag-interior-decorator","tag-interior-designer","tag-learn","tag-learn-the-hard-way","tag-lessons","tag-obvious","tag-peer-pressure","tag-problems","tag-recognize","tag-rules","tag-success","tag-successful","tag-taught","tag-trust","tag-trust-your-gut","tag-wrong
["GET
