Hug O’ War<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I will not play at tug o’ war.
\nI’d rather play at hug o’ war,
\nWhere everyone hugs
\nInstead of tugs,
\nWhere everyone giggles
\nAnd rolls on the rug,
\nWhere everyone kisses,
\nAnd everyone grins,
\nAnd everyone cuddles,
\nAnd everyone wins.<\/p>\n

When someone tries to pick a fight with you – walk away.\u00a0 If someone throws stones at you – run away.\u00a0 If someone is cruel or unkind to you – wish them well.<\/p>\n

There is an old\u00a0bumper sticker that says “Mean People Suck” and that is totally true, they do.\u00a0 And unfortunately,\u00a0all of us will encounter those mean people at some point or another in our lives.\u00a0\u00a0They may say\u00a0mean things, or do mean things, or\u00a0even tell mean lies to\u00a0try and hurt you, because, well……they’re mean!\u00a0 And even though\u00a0we can’t stop the person\u00a0from being mean, what we can do is to learn from\u00a0their awful example and decide that we will never\u00a0allow ourselves to become\u00a0the person who inflicts the hurt they way they do.\u00a0\u00a0Then\u00a0do everything in your power to never allow yourself to become\u00a0like them.<\/p>\n

I, for one, much prefer hugs o’ war to tugs o’ war.\u00a0 I prefer the giggles and the\u00a0wins any day!<\/p>\n

The challenge for the day is to\u00a0be kind to everyone.\u00a0 Even the mean people, because clearly they need\u00a0the love most of all and then perhaps they would stop being so mean.<\/p>\n
