{"id":4141,"date":"2013-12-26T22:10:41","date_gmt":"2013-12-27T04:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/?p=4141"},"modified":"2013-12-26T22:10:59","modified_gmt":"2013-12-27T04:10:59","slug":"twas-the-day-after-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/twas-the-day-after-christmas\/","title":{"rendered":"Twas the Day After Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I hope all of you had a marvelous Christmas Holiday!\u00a0 For me it was a marvelous day because we were able to be together as a family, with my son joining us on Skype.\u00a0 It was amazing to see his sweet smiling face on the video.\u00a0 It was also fun to watch he and his sister reconnecting, talking in their secret language to each other and cracking up over their inside jokes.\u00a0 As a mom its one of the best feelings in the world to see your kids being best friends with one another. \u00a0That made my Christmas for certain.<\/p>\n<p>What didn\u2019t make my Christmas was the amount of food I have consumed over the last week.\u00a0 Good heavens I was out of control with the boxes and boxes of goodies delivered to our home\u2026they just kept coming and coming and I felt obligated to at least try them all\u2026after all, I didn\u2019t want to offend anyone who had been kind enough to send us something \ud83d\ude42 \u2026.and so I just kept eating and eating until I sit here feeling sick as a dog in my oversized sweat pants, which are about the only thing I can fit in to at this point!\u00a0 You know you\u2019ve been bad when you find yourself giving thanks for elastic waist bands in your evening prayers\u2026yeah, it\u2019s that bad\u2026.<\/p>\n<p>And so TOMORROW my diet begins\u2026which means I had better go polish off the homemade chocolate turtles that just came in the mail from Grandma Anderson TONIGHT!\u00a0 After all, she went to a lot of trouble to make them herself and I wouldn\u2019t want to be ungrateful \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Here is a cute poem I came across that does a great job of illustrating exactly how I feel tonight.\u00a0 I am not sure who wrote this, but it\u2019s darling!\u00a0 Enjoy it and have a great weekend everyone!<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 823px;
