Today was one of those days.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t that it was a really bad day and it wasn\u2019t that anything horrible happened\u2026it was just one of those stressful days where you are going like crazy all day yet feeling like you are making no progress at all\u2026when you are being pulled by this person and that person and feeling like you can\u2019t be everything to everyone which bums you out\u2026when your head aches to no end but search as you may you can\u2019t find the bottle of aspirin\u2026yeah, that sums up my day today.<\/p>\n
By the time I was home for the night all I wanted was a great big hug\u2026but I called out and found I was in an empty house all by myself. My husband had gone to the gym to work-out and my daughter was attending a school assembly, so it was just me all by myself with no one to give me a hug.<\/p>\n
So I did what any intelligent person would do at that point \u2013 I opened the freezer and whipped out a pint of Ben & Jerry\u2019s Scotchy Scotch Scotch Ice Cream\u2026.ahhhh yes\u2026..a fantastic substitute when you can\u2019t find anyone to give you a hug J\u2026.<\/p>\n
Some days are fantastic.\u00a0 Some days are horrific.\u00a0 And some days are somewhere in between. But each has its place in life.\u00a0\u00a0 Each brings its own lessons and experiences. Even when we don\u2019t enjoy some nearly as much as others, we just have to remind ourselves that at least we had the day\u2026at least we are alive and with our loved ones\u2026and if every day was fantastic we wouldn\u2019t appreciate fantastic nearly as much.\u00a0 Most important \u2013 a world without bad days would also be a world without the need for hugs and a world without the need for Ben & Jerry\u2019s ice cream – and none of us should ever want a world like that!<\/p>\n
Thank heavens for hugs and Ben & Jerry\u2019s Scotchy Scotch Scotch Ice Cream!\u00a0 And here is hoping for a fantastic day tomorrow \u2013 heaven knows I would appreciate it greatly!<\/p>\n
