{"id":4254,"date":"2014-01-23T00:29:20","date_gmt":"2014-01-23T06:29:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/?p=4254"},"modified":"2014-01-23T00:29:42","modified_gmt":"2014-01-23T06:29:42","slug":"sometimes-when-things-are-falling-apart-they-may-actually-be-falling-into-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/sometimes-when-things-are-falling-apart-they-may-actually-be-falling-into-place\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cSometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Earlier this week I shared some thoughts on failure and how it is often our failures that end up leading us to the path of success in our lives.\u00a0 It reminded me of one of my favorite stories that perfectly illustrates the title quote from today\u2019s blog:\u00a0 \u201cSometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\">The story is called:\u00a0<strong> Your Hut Is Burning<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\">The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhibited<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">elements, and to store his few possessions.\u00a0 But then one day, after<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">smoke rolling up to the sky.\u00a0 The worst had happened; everything was lost.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">He was stunned with grief and anger.\u00a0 &#8220;God, how could you do this to me!&#8221; he<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">cried.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"color: #993366;\">Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993366;\">approaching the island.
