This week seems to be a week full of amazing Girl Power!\u00a0\u00a0 First it was my BYU presentation to the Women Entrepreneurs who were all AWESOME ladies.\u00a0\u00a0 And then today I sat down and spent several hours with Mia Love, who is running for Congress here in Utah.\u00a0 She is AMAZING!\u00a0 She is real and down to earth and she gets it..she really gets it.\u00a0 That is SO REFRESHING!\u00a0\u00a0 I would vote for her any day and so should all of you!\u00a0 She needs all the support she can get for the election so jump onboard and do what you can to help her.\u00a0 We need more people like her representing our interests in government.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow I am going to join Mia Love and Condoleezza Rice for lunch, which is just one more day of Girl Power to add to an amazing week of fabulous, unstoppable women.\u00a0 Let\u2019s face it, Condoleezza is the epitome of Girl Power, and the best kind of it.\u00a0 It is so exciting to see talented women using their skills to make the world a better place!\u00a0 Women are truly amazing.<\/p>\n
I get asked all the time how I feel about being a woman in business\u2026and the funny thing is that I am always asked as if it is a negative to me that I am a woman in business!\u00a0 ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!\u00a0 Being a woman in business is the best thing ever!\u00a0 Women bring so much to the table.\u00a0 They have an intuition that is truly incredible.\u00a0 Where men tend to look at the facts only, women tend to look at the facts too but then they trust their gut on top of that.\u00a0 Men can sit in a room together for six hours and no absolutely nothing about one another, where a woman can sit in the room with anyone (man or woman) and you give us ten minutes and we will know every detail of your entire life\u2026just think how valuable that can be when it comes to doing business!\u00a0 A woman who is confident (but not cocky), a woman who is intelligent, a woman who has integrity, and a woman who takes care of herself, is a woman who is unstoppable!\u00a0 And let\u2019s just talk straight\u2026from the time a woman is a little itty bitty baby girl, she knows how to get what she wants.\u00a0 Have you ever watched a little girl wrap her daddy around her finger\u2026it\u2019s like watching pure magic.\u00a0 And no one even taught her how to do it \u2013 she is simply born with it :).\u00a0 \u00a0And have you ever observed a teenage girl who wants something?\u00a0 She is a natural born negotiator in ways that are truly mind boggling.\u00a0 Again, it is a natural born gift that women just have.\u00a0 So my answer to the question as to whether I find any disadvantage to being a woman when it comes to business is a resounding NO!\u00a0 Being a woman in business (or politics) is a HUGE asset in my opinion.<\/p>\n
So ladies, today\u2019s blog are dedicated to all of you amazing creatures that make this world a better place with your presence!\u00a0 Now get out there and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!\u00a0 Oh, and for you men reading this blog \u2013 get out there and support and appreciate those amazing women in your lives.\u00a0 They deserve it!<\/p>\n
