{"id":4511,"date":"2014-04-20T21:34:48","date_gmt":"2014-04-21T03:34:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/?p=4511"},"modified":"2014-04-20T21:35:13","modified_gmt":"2014-04-21T03:35:13","slug":"because-of-him-thoughts-on-easter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amyreesanderson.com\/blog\/because-of-him-thoughts-on-easter\/","title":{"rendered":"Because of Him&#8230;Thoughts on Easter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Easter to everyone!\u00a0 I thought for my blog today I would take the opportunity to share a few of my thoughts about Easter and what it means to me personally.<\/p>\n<p>I love Easter because it reminds me that at any point\u00a0we can make\u00a0the decision to be a better person and\u00a0repent for our past mistakes and start over\u00a0again with a clean slate.\u00a0\u00a0We have been given an amazing opportunity, thanks to our older brother Jesus Christ, who\u00a0gave his life willingly for each one of us so that we could be resurrected someday and have the opportunity\u00a0to\u00a0live again with God.\u00a0 It was because of his great sacrifice that we are able to overcome our mistakes in life. All of us make mistakes, some big and some small. None of us are perfect.\u00a0 But at any point we can get on our knees and ask Father for another chance to be a good person. We can ask for forgiveness for our mistakes and we can ask for help overcoming our weaknesses.\u00a0 And He will grant us another chance to try again.\u00a0 All of that\u00a0because we had an older brother who was willing to sacrifice out of the unconditional love he held for each one of us.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone deserves to learn from their mistakes and start over again.\u00a0 Everyone deserves to improve and progress.\u00a0 Thank heaven for the fact that we have that opportunity.\u00a0\u00a0 Every one of us should make sure we don&#8217;t take that ability for granted.\u00a0 We shouldn&#8217;t let that sacrifice be in vain.
