I feel like a five year old kid on Christmas Eve night!\u00a0 I am so excited for tomorrow that I am jumping out of my skin!\u00a0 MY SON COMES HOME TOMORROW!\u00a0 After two LOOOONNNNGGGG years of only being able to write him once a week and only being able to talk to him on Christmas Day and Mother\u2019s Day, I am finally going to see my son again, live and in person and I CAN\u2019T WAIT!\u00a0 I have no idea how I will ever get to sleep tonight\u2026.I really do feel like a little kid right now anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus himself!<\/p>\n

Today was a marvelous day.\u00a0 My darling daughter graduated from High School. She looked so beautiful in her cap and gown with a huge smile on her face.\u00a0 And the coolest thing was that her brother was given special permission to FaceTime with me throughout the graduation so he could watch the entire thing live!\u00a0 And as Ashley walked by us to go up on the stand and receive her diploma she was able to grab my phone from me and take Dalton with her up on the stand as she received her diploma.\u00a0 When they took her photo and put it on the jumbo-tron and the stadium she held her phone out for everyone to see that she had her brother on FaceTime with her.\u00a0 Her best friend in the world was able to be there with her today and I know that meant the world to both of them.\u00a0 The ceremony was fantastic and the principal Fidel Montero gave a fabulous commencement speech.\u00a0 He encouraged the kids to go on to do amazing things in the world.\u00a0 He let them know that no matter what background they came from they have the capacity to go ahead and do anything in the world they set their minds to. There are no limits on the impact you can have on this world if you just try.\u00a0 He is an amazing leader for Alta High and I am glad she had him as her principal.\u00a0 A good leader like that can make all the difference to people they lead.<\/p>\n

My words I would share with all those kids graduating from High School as well as all of us that have reached the age of adulthood in life is stated perfectly in this quote:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own.\u00a0 No apologies or excuses.\u00a0 No one to lean on, rely on, or blame.\u00a0 The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey \u2013 and you alone are responsible for the quality of it.\u00a0 This is the day your life really begins.\u201d\u00a0<\/span> – Bob Moawad<\/p>\n

And last but not least I would say:<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be the one thing standing in your way.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0 – Laurel Christensen<\/p>\n

Be brave. \u00a0Don’t ever let fear get in your way or stop you from going after your dreams. \u00a0Take life on with all the gusto you can.\u00a0 Set goals that are bigger and higher than you ever thought possible. Don\u2019t limit your dreams for the future.\u00a0 Have confidence, not based on external factors like looks or position or money, have confidence based on the kind of person you are and the person you are trying to become.\u00a0 Be kind to others, even when you don\u2019t need or want anything from them.\u00a0 Look for ways to serve, it\u2019s the right thing to do.\u00a0 Put 100% into everything you do, never take something on with half heart.\u00a0 If you are going to do it, do it right.\u00a0 Never lose your integrity.\u00a0 Always do what is right and let the consequences follow.\u00a0 Be happy, not tomorrow or the next day, be happy now.\u00a0 Smile, you look better when you smile.\u00a0 And dance\u2026always dance\u2026.it\u2019s just fun!<\/p>\n
