I really do.\u00a0 I admit fully and openly.\u00a0 I realize it is good for us and I realize it is necessary, but I definitely don\u2019t enjoy it.\u00a0 Not even a little bit. So when I find out that there is an alternative to exercise that has the same effect, only better, you bet I sit up and take notice.\u00a0 \u00a0Are you ready for it \u2013 Performing Acts of Kindness has a stronger effect then exercising four times a week!!!<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t believe me?\u00a0 Well you don\u2019t have to take my word for it \u2013 it is a study that was performed at Harvard University and the results were published in Psychology Today \u2013 it is known as the Mother Theresa Effect.\u00a0 Here is what the study showed:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Benefits of Performing Acts of Kindness<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Research has shown that those who routinely engage in acts of kindness:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience alleviation of stress<\/li>\n<li>Experience alleviation of chronic pain<\/li>\n<li>Experience alleviation of insomnia<\/li>\n<li>Experience fewer aches and pains<\/li>\n<li>Have a lessened likelihood of experiencing diseases and disorders<\/li>\n<li>Overall health is protected twice as much as aspirin protects against heart disease<\/li>\n<li>Have a significantly lower likelihood of dying of diseases<\/li>\n<li>Have markedly increased levels of Immunoglobulin A (antibody which boosts immunity)<\/li>\n<li>Have significant increase in Serotonin levels (chemical in brain that makes us feel good)<\/li>\n<li>Have decreased feelings of depression<\/li>\n<li>Have increased sense of happiness and optimism<\/li>\n<li>Have an increased sense of self worth<\/li>\n<li>Have enhanced feelings of joyfulness<\/li>\n<li>Have a boost in their sense of physical and emotional well being<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"center\">The effects of doing acts of kindness have a stronger effect than exercising four times a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">\u00a0HOLLA!!!\u00a0 That is what I am talking about!\u00a0 That is fantastic!\u00a0 And doing acts of kindness is so much better than exercise, and WAY MORE FUN!\u00a0 Not only that but you don\u2019t even have to break a sweat to do it.\u00a0 Even better :).<\/p>\n<p>So if you want to get your daily workout in then go do an act of kindness \u2013 then BAM \u2013 see how much sexier you look because of it!\u00a0 Boo-yah!<\/p>\n<p>~Amy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I hate to exercise.
