The following excerpts are from\u00a0pages 6-7 and they contain the most simple, yet powerful advice. I love that this advice applies to all of our lives. \u00a0Hope you enjoy it as much as I do:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>All I Really Need To Know\u00a0I Learned In Kindergarten<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (by Robert Fulghum)<\/p>\n<p>Share everything.<\/p>\n<p>Play fair.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t hit people.<\/p>\n<p>Put things back where you found them.<\/p>\n<p>Clean up your own mess.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t take things that aren&#8217;t yours.<\/p>\n<p>Say you&#8217;re sorry when you hurt somebody.<\/p>\n<p>Wash your hands before you eat.<\/p>\n<p>Flush.<\/p>\n<p>Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.<\/p>\n<p>Live a balanced life &#8211; learn some and think some<br \/>\nand draw and paint and sing and dance and play<br \/>\nand work every day some.<\/p>\n<p>Take a nap every afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic,<br \/>\nhold hands, and stick together.<\/p>\n<p>Be aware of wonder.<br \/>\nRemember the little seed in the styrofoam cup:<br \/>\nThe roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody<br \/>\nreally knows how or why, but we are all like that.<\/p>\n<p>Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even<br \/>\nthe little seed in the Styrofoam cup &#8211; they all die.<br \/>\nSo do we.<\/p>\n<p>And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books<br \/>\nand the first word you learned &#8211; the biggest<br \/>\nword of all &#8211; LOOK.<\/p>\n<p>Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.<br \/>\nThe Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation.<br \/>\nEcology and politics and equality and sane living.<\/p>\n<p>Take any of those items and extrapolate it into<br \/>\nsophisticated adult terms and apply it to your<br \/>\nfamily life or your work or your government or<br \/>\nyour world and it holds true and clear and firm.<br \/>\nThink what a better world it would be if<br \/>\nall &#8211; the whole world &#8211; had cookies and milk about<br \/>\nthree o&#8217;clock every afternoon and then lay down with<br \/>\nour blankies for a nap. Or if all governments<br \/>\nhad a basic policy to always put thing back where<br \/>\nthey found them and to clean up their own mess.<\/p>\n<p>And it is still true, no matter how old you<br \/>\nare &#8211; when you go out into the world, it is best<br \/>\nto hold hands and stick together.<\/p>\n<p>SO GOOD! I love that advice and it is so relevant to all of us. I agree the world would be better if we had milk and cookies and a nap everyday.
