Sometimes advice is so great you just have to share it with everyone. \u00a0Robert Fulghum wrote the book,\u00a0All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0(Villard Books: New York, 1990). The following excerpts are from\u00a0pages 6-7 and they contain the most simple, yet powerful advice. I love that this advice applies to all of our lives. \u00a0Hope you enjoy it as much as I do:<\/p>\n

All I Really Need To Know\u00a0I Learned In Kindergarten<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (by Robert Fulghum)<\/p>\n

Share everything.<\/p>\n

Play fair.<\/p>\n

Don’t hit people.<\/p>\n

Put things back where you found them.<\/p>\n

Clean up your own mess.<\/p>\n

Don’t take things that aren’t yours.<\/p>\n

Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.<\/p>\n

Wash your hands before you eat.<\/p>\n

Flush.<\/p>\n

Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.<\/p>\n

Live a balanced life – learn some and think some
\nand draw and paint and sing and dance and play
\nand work every day some.<\/p>\n

Take a nap every afternoon.<\/p>\n

When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic,
\nhold hands, and stick together.<\/p>\n

Be aware of wonder.
\nRemember the little seed in the styrofoam cup:
\nThe roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody
\nreally knows how or why, but we are all like that.<\/p>\n

Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even
\nthe little seed in the Styrofoam cup – they all die.
\nSo do we.<\/p>\n

And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books
\nand the first word you learned – the biggest
\nword of all – LOOK.<\/p>\n

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere.
\nThe Golden Rule and love and basic sanitation.
\nEcology and politics and equality and sane living.<\/p>\n

Take any of those items and extrapolate it into
\nsophisticated adult terms and apply it to your
\nfamily life or your work or your government or
\nyour world and it holds true and clear and firm.
\nThink what a better world it would be if
\nall – the whole world – had cookies and milk about
\nthree o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with
\nour blankies for a nap. Or if all governments
\nhad a basic policy to always put thing back where
\nthey found them and to clean up their own mess.<\/p>\n

And it is still true, no matter how old you
\nare – when you go out into the world, it is best
\nto hold hands and stick together.<\/p>\n

SO GOOD! I love that advice and it is so relevant to all of us. I agree the world would be better if we had milk and cookies and a nap everyday. Wouldn’t that be awesome! \u00a0And most of all, I agree that we need to hold hands and stick together. \u00a0Have an amazing day everyone!<\/p>\n
