I happen to agree with that sentiment. When someone treats another person mean I really struggle with it. When I hear stories of bullying in our young people, or see people taking pot shots, or making fun of, or slandering others, it makes my stomach sick. There is no justification for anyone to be mean to someone else. We can be frustrated, disappointed, or even disapprove of someone, but there is never justification to be downright mean. It is unnecessary and unproductive, and it reflects the worst on is the person who is being mean rather than the person they are tearing down. Years ago I heard a song playing on the radio called, “Don’t Laugh At Me” by Mark Wills. I am not one to cry at songs on the radio, but this one definitely made me teary. The message was so powerful in this song that I couldn’t shake it, so I went home and gathered images off the internet and compiled them into a video that played to the music of the song and I used this video to teach a class to a group of young women I was teaching. I had forgotten about it until today when I watched it again for the first time in awhile and it touched me again so strongly that I decided to share it with all of you as well. It’s a short video with a message worth watching…for adults and children alike:

Hopefully you can see why I wanted to share this with all of you and I hope it touched your life the way it touched mine. We could all stand to be a little more kind, a little more tolerant, and a little more loving to one another. None of us are perfect but we are all equally valued in God’s eyes and we must never forget that. Have a wonderful day tomorrow everyone.
