Today was one of those days when I REALLY needed an inspirational quote to help keep my spirits up. The truth is that it has been a rough week this week for many reasons and I found myself getting to that point where you really need a motivational lifeline to help you get your head back into thinking about things the right way. So often when things are tough it\u2019s really hard to make ourselves change the way we are thinking about it. We get into that mode of only thinking about all the negative things going on and we feel so overwhelmed that we literally can\u2019t see the positives anymore.<\/p>\n
The only way I know to fix that is to stop and find something inspirational to read \u2013 a quote or a poem or a good thought that can help my mind see another perspective. So tonight I pulled up this poem and it is the perfect reminder to help me put my head in the right place. This is the poem that was posted on the wall of the orphanage by Mother Theresa (someone I admire tremendously):<\/p>\n
Do it Anyway<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.\u00a0Forgive them anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.\u00a0Be kind anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.\u00a0Succeed anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.\u00a0Be honest and sincere anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.\u00a0Create anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.\u00a0Be happy anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n The good you do today will often be forgotten.\u00a0Do good anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n Give the best you have\u2026and it will never be enough.\u00a0Give your best anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
